The General Causes of Students’ Dropout at Primary School
Abstract
The aim of the study is to investigate the economic causes of student dropouts at primary level in Union Council Shawar, Tehsil Matta, District Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The nature of this study is quantitative. The total population of this study was 64 whereby 40 respondents were selected through simple random sampling technique. A structured questionnaires has been utilized as a tool for data collection whereas the collected data has been analyzed through Statistical packages for social sciences (SPSS) and micro soft excel. Findings shows that financial problems, helping parents in earning money, distance from school, overcrowding and lack of facilties and interest in schooling leads to drop out at primary level in Union Council Shawar, Tehsil Matta, District Swat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
