Drug Addiction among Young Persons and its Impact upon Families: A Descriptive Analysis

The current study aims to explore the drug addiction among young persons and its impact upon their families. The study has been conducted in Ouch, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The study is framed under mix-method research design. Purposive sampling technique has been utilized in order to select 60 samples from the population of interest whereas the information has been collected to an interview schedule. The collected information has been analyzed quantitatively. Findings shows that drug addiction among young persons has many adverse impacts upon families including affecting child socialization process, creating and intensifying stress among family members, creating day to day tensions, quarreling and most importantly creating marital problems.
