Numerous social researchers and theorists are exploring the socio-economic and psychological aspects of COVID-19. This study aims to find out the link between globalization and rapid spread of COVID-19 across the globe. For this purpose, literature has been studied and relevant studies predicting an outbreak has been cited. In addition, research studies citing various infectious diseases have been cited with regard to spread of such infection. Findings show that numerous studies have predicted an outbreak which would spread fast due to the process of globalization on 20th and 21st century. Globalization is the process speeding up traveling, tourism, migration and trade across the globe. These factors significantly contributes to spread of infection and is evident in case of COVID-19. This study aims to investigate the social stigma dimension of COVID 19 in<br>Chars sada, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. This study is qualitative whereby through<br>purposive sampling a total of 13 COVID 19 affected individuals (who have recovered) were<br>sampled and were interviewed through an interview guide. The information has been<br>transcr ibed and findings are extracted. Findings show that stigma is confronted by COVID<br>19 affected individuals from their family members, community and the health care workers.<br>Stigma is confronted in different shapes such as avoidance, negation, unwanted state ments<br>and misbehavior from healthcare workers. COVID-19 created a scenario which increased the stress level among health workers in Pakistan. The aim of this study to measure the impact of stress on the workforce due to Corona Virus Disease in Pakistan.</p> <p><strong>Methods</strong>: Quantitative research and cross-sectional study was done which included a sample size of (N=710) by using convenient sampling from Health workers across the country. A pre-validated questionnaire is used to collect data for the assortment of data from Google Performa via email for results and analysis of the study. The current study used an analysis method ranging from descriptive analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis. The data has been analyzed through Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version SPSS-20. </p> <p><strong>Findings</strong>: The study results show that the stress in the workforce is positively and significantly (P<.05) related to the COVID pandemic.</p>2020-07-26T00:00:00+00:00##submission.copyrightStatement##
